Dr. Yoodong Moon was born in a small rural town in South Korea. Since he was young, he loved to explore and traveled to many countries. He studied abroad in Australia and Japan. Then he moved to Maryland, where he began his career at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Moon moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and practiced full time as a general dentist for several years, thus gaining broad experience in all fields of dentistry. When his daughter was born, he and his family moved to Palatine to be near his wife’s family.
Dr. Moon remains updated on all the latest dental advancements by continuing to attend educational courses and seminars. When he is not working in clinic, he works as faculty member in Hiossen implant study clubs, giving lectures and overseeing the clinical portions of the lectures. He also diligently reads professional journals and publications in all areas of dentistry. He has completed a leading implant course, Implant MaxiCourses at Loma Linda University, Endodontic courses at DELendo with Dr. Buchanan, and many others.
He devotes many days to continuing dental education courses, well above the requirements of Illinois law. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Moon and wife, Yun, have lovely daughters named Adelyn and Evelyn. Dr. Moon enjoys playing golf, soccer, tennis, and table tennis, and loves spending time with his daughters.
As a general dentist, Dr. Kim’s career goal is to never lose the passion for the field and provide patient centered care with empathy. As he believes that a beautiful and confident smile always stems from continued oral health care, he focuses on providing comfortable dental experience, educating patients about cutting edge and conservative treatments, and empowering each patient in a decision-making process with open communication.
When Dr Kim is not at work, he frequently engages in Continuing Education to expend his knowledge and skill set. He accomplishes well above the required hours by the state each year. He is also interested in art history, painting with acrylics, swimming, and exploring the great city of Chicago, to name a few.
Dr. Kim is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is Invisalign certified and Botox trained.
Dr. Kim considers the Midwest her home and was thrilled to move back after graduation. She is pleased to be serving the Greater Chicago area as a General Dentist. Dr. Kim is passionate about maintaining the oral health of all of her patients, and she is committed to providing her patients with comfortable and quality dental care.
In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Sofia is our office lead dental assistant, and joined our team in October of 2020. She has been active in the dental field for over 5 years, bringing her expanded knowledge of dentistry to our dental team. She enjoys talking to our patients and working with them to find ways to improve their smiles and oral care. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her six pomeranian puppies.
Daisy joined our team in 2023. She is excited to grow her knowledge in the dental world and get to know our patient. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys the company of her small aquatic turtle “Beevis”.
Paulina was born in Poland and moved with her family to the northwest suburbs where she attended and graduated from Northern Illinois University. She has been a part of the dental industry for over ten years. She believes that Corinium Dental is committed to giving the best care to the patients who come through the door each and every day. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and their fur baby. Every year Paulina chooses a new travel destination to make memories with her husband.
Bianca was born in Twin Falls, Idaho but moved to Illinois in order to be closer to her family. She has developed a passion for the dental field since she was younger and has had the opportunity to work at Corinium Dental with four years of experience and counting. Bianca is eager to ameliorate her skills in dentistry with hopes of becoming a dental hygienist in the near future. She hopes to empower patients to live a healthy, happy life and elucidate that it starts with an optimal oral health. Bianca loves her fur baby Oliver & visiting Disney World & loves the color pink.
